Hammacher Schlemmer

Hammacher Schlemmer's tag line is "Offering the Best, the Only, and the Unexpected for 163 years."  Well unexpected is right.  Look at these lawn ornaments they are now offering for Halloween and Christmas.

Scary Cat!

2-Story Tall Reindeer!

Sexy Snowman!

If they weren't almost $400 I would love to buy one and put it on a friends lawn as a practical joke!  If you see anyone with one of these on their lawn please take a picture and send it to us at abedoozledlife@gmail.com.

PS - If you have some free time please visit the HS website and read the description on these things.  The snowman one is especially hilarious.

This weekend my luva and I took a roadtrip to Newport, R.I.  It was very romantic and fun...check out all of our recommendations below:

For an old-timey B&B experience check out Spring St Inn.  The breakfast was delish, good prices, and very clean accommodations.

Pumpkin Beers

It's mid-September and in my mind that means the weather getting cooler and the sun setting sooner, which makes me sad.  The only thing to cure my depression?  Dogfish Head Punkin Ale!

Have you ever tried it?  IT IS AMAZING!  A bit sweet, very rich, you could probably only do one or two but oh is it good.  I have been calling liquor stores like a crazy person since Sept 1.  I finally found someone who is willing to let my buy a whole case.  You may say, that sounds extreme, but Binny's is only letting people by one 4-pack per person.  Dogfish Head doesn't produce a lot of this seasonal beer and usually liquor stores sell out in a week and a half!   So I may be crazy but at least I will have enough for the Fall.

Sharing Tuesdays

Hi ya'll -

1st - I wanted to share that I got a new mouse for my work computer today and I was so excited to use it, this made me really sad and makes me feel like a huge dork / granny.  I need help.

2nd - I went to visit my fabulous cousin down at Indiana University this past weekend.  Sara is a grad student there and didn't want to have a "college" apartment.  She found some amazing finds that I thought I would share:

Hand-made mobiles bring lots of color to a corner in her bedroom.

Antique store find, great for all of her school books.  Sara added the rolling feet.

While I was visiting the CB2 Acrylic coffee table arrived.  Sara and I are soul sisters with our matching acrylic furniture purchases, all from CB2 might I add.

Target bar stools that she painted a fun color.

This desk was quite the find - Sara sanded it down and re-stained it.  She also fixed the drawers.   Serves not only as a desk but also as a dining room table.

Miss Sara!  (notice how her sweater matches her apron - she is so cute)

We made peach muffins!

Hope this inspires you to go out there and look for deals, make them your own, save money, but still have a fabulous designed space.

Moet... on ice

Hello All!

Have you been watching any of the US Open?  Did you see Serena flip out?  Did you notice that all the stars are drinking from a very cool white Moet glass?  Well I have and I of course I had to find out more about what was in that pimp cup!

Via
According to Departures it is Moet & Chardon's new Ice Imperial, "a semisweet bubbly blended specifically for drinking over ice."  I want to try it, especially in that cup!  Maybe Moet will send me this party pack!?

Via

What do you guys think "what's up" or "nish, nish?"

Skinny Dipping

Bethenny Frankel is at it again!  She just signed a 3-book deal with Touchstone Fireside.  She says "It's about a girl's journey and what she wants, and trying to have it all.  It's about the lessons and the people along the way, about the naysayers and rising above," could she be talking about her own life experience and naysayers like Jill Zarin!?  Read more here.

Via
No word yet on when Bravo will air season 3 of Bethenny's show but I know I will be watching.  Will you?

Airstream

I love to watch "American Pickers" on the History channel.  They are always so excited when they see an Airstream so when I saw that Rachel Horn, an interior designer, and her husband and business partner, Justin Kreizel, renovated a 1969 Airstream I had to share!

Most 1960s Airstreams look like this now...
Via
But Rachel & Justin made there's look amazing!  Read more about this renovation here.

What do you think?  For a pretty small space it sure packs a whole lot of style!
